Chandler Barry is the newest addition to the staff at Knutson Memorial Library as of mid-November 2020. Growing up just outside St. Joseph's Ridge, she attended Central High School in La Crosse, before relocating to Washington state to attend the University of Puget Sound where she majored in Religion and further developed her method of transforming leaning stacks of books into semi-functional furniture. After graduating, she settled in Oakland, CA, where she continued her post-graduate work in non-profits for some time. Chandler returned to Wisconsin in 2017 and was blessed to fall into employment with local treasure trove, Pearl Street Books. She currently lives in Chaseburg in her tiny red house with her partner (Alex), her cat (Sibley), dog (Andecite), and her six stuffed bookcases - Fiction, Non-Fiction, Oversize, Comics, and Strictly Mysteries.
We're delighted to have her join us...and she's anxious to meet you - stop in and say hello!
Knutson Memorial Library is open on Monday: 1-6, Tuesday: 1-8, Wednesday: 1-6, Friday: 10-2, and Saturday: 10-1. We look forward to your visit if you are comfortable coming into the library; if not, we are happy to provide curbside service during those hours.
